NEV Leasing joins local businesses and becomes a community sponsor of Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club

Fuelled by a personal connection to Bury St Edmunds and a desire to support local sport, communities and ambition

Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club logo NEV Leasing NEV Leasing have signed their first community sponsorship agreement -  joining several likeminded local businesses in supporting Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club and as part of their commitment to investing in local sport, opportunity and grassroots ambition.

NEV Leasing is based in Colchester and serves the counties of Essex and Suffolk but this partnership was more of a personal one as founder Chris Harbutt grew up in Bury St Edmunds and still has close family ties to the town - his family continues to run Rougham Hall Nurseries and RHN Plant Centre in nearby Barrow.

Supporting the club therefore felt less like a marketing decision and more like contributing to a place that feels like home.

Bury St Edmunds RFC continues to build its reputation as one of the eastern region's most progressive community rugby clubs, developing academy pathways, links with local schools, strengthening women's rugby, growing its support base and plaicing inclusivity, wellbeing and aspiration at the heart of its plans.

Sponsorship plays a crucial role in ensuring grassroots clubs can deliver those ambitions. invest in facilities and provide opportunities for future generations.

At Your Convenience at Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club with NEV Leasing  So where will you find us at the club? ... front of shirt ? ... post protectors ? ... hospitality suite? ...as a   fledgling business business we're starting small but have received a warm welcome from all involved   and to coin a well known supermarket phrase "every little helps" and our aim is for this to be very   much a long term involvement with the club which will continue to grow each season.

So for now ... we will be "At your convenience" with our posters located across The Haberden's   bathroom facilities. Definitely not glamorous but well-targetted - after all if there's one place people will   stop and read ... and with the help of a QR code view the offers for members, supporters and   visitors   to the club

For NEV, this marks the beginning of a wider programme supporting regional clubs, charities and   organisations that bring people together, contribute to local identity and make business feel more   human.

"We believe businesses should support and show up for the communities they serve and not just   transact with them ...if support help the club to continue its journey, grow participation and create positive experiences, thaty feels like something worth backing"

More community sponsorship announcements will follow in 2026 but now NEV Leasing is proud to be part of the #BuryRugbyJourney
